PTI, the strategy and technology consultancy, has been appointed to design and deliver the technology strategy for La Grande Mare, the premium golf resort being developed in Guernsey.
La Grande Mare Golf Club is set in over 100 acres of parkland on the Channel Island and was designed by globally-renowned golf architects Hawtree and Sons, who have supervised the construction of over 200 golf courses worldwide.
In support of its aspirations to provide one of the best playing experiences in world golf, and to help attain their goal of being ‘Always Extraordinary’, PTI was appointed to design a technology ecosystem that delivers a personalised, seamless customer experience for members and visitors. The technology strategy will also allow La Grande Mare to analyse and understand its various audiences at a granular level, allowing it to develop personalised customer journeys that deliver more value both for the customer and the Club.
Fay Boyd of La Grande Mare said: “Technology plays such an important role in the development of modern golf courses, and it is critical for our commitment to creating a course that delivers a customer experience on a par with the highest-profile courses in world golf; technology is already playing an exciting and pivotal role in our brand new Golf Performance Centre, incorporating a state-of-the-art driving range and tuition centre. PTI have a strong track record in designing technology ecosystems for some of the biggest venues in sports and entertainment, and we’re excited to show the world what we are going to deliver.”
Dan Smith, CTO of PTI, added: “We are really excited to be able to expand into this new sector and bring the transferable skills and expertise we have to La Grande Mare, who have recognised the vital role technology can and should play in enhancing the customer experience. Whilst respecting golf’s traditions we will be looking to meet the expectations of the modern golf and leisure customer, ensuring that we are able to stay one step ahead.”
