As a reflection of PTI Digital’s growth we are excited to welcome two new starters, Nic Heslop and Joe Barnard.
After 14 years at Cardiff City, most latterly as Head of Commercial, Nic joins PTI as Commercial Services Director, reporting into CCO Ben Wells and helping drive PTI’s Commercial Services team forward. Since the turn of the year PTI have extended their relationship with Bristol Sport & Ashton Gate and were recently appointed by Premiership Rugby to develop its D2C strategy.
At the same time we welcome into the role of Venue Tech Specialist Joe Barnard as part of PTI’s expanding Managed Services team. Having worked for a number of years Edgbaston, Joe brings to the team a wealth of experience and expertise in several relevant in-venue technologies, and has first-hand experience of the high, and ever increasing, expectations of sports & entertainment fans.
As we welcome Nic and Joe aboard, we greatly look forward to being able to provide our clients and future clients an expanded set of design and consultancy services to further ensure the successful deployment and management of in-venue technologies, and the critical and visible part they play in the wider data & digital and commercial services pyramid.
This news continues the exciting start to the year for PTI and follows on from a breakthrough year in 2021 where PTI were appointed by OakView Group International on a 5 year exclusive deal to strategise its digital and technology strategies, starting with Co-op Live in Manchester; the London Stadium to develop a Connected Stadium strategy; Wasps and Coventry Building Society Arena to deliver its digital transformation strategy; and by NEC Group to deliver their mobile strategy.
Nic Heslop says “I know from first hand experience the quality of thinking and execution that PTI can bring. Having sat client side I cannot wait to get involved with the genuinely transformational programmes PTI are building for their many clients.”
Joe Barnard echoed Nic’s thoughts “This is such an exciting move for me. Much in the way of technology sits out of sight, however this newly created role heavily focusses on being front and centre when it comes to in-venue customer engagement technology and I am looking forward to bringing my experience to the many different venues where PTI operate.”
Mike Bohndiek, Chief Executive Officer at PTI says “We are delighted to welcome two such high quality hires into the business, reflecting the period of growth we have enjoyed in the past 18 months. It is critical to us that not only are we able to capitalise on that momentum but also that we maintain a high quality of service to our clients. Bringing Nic and Joe into the business at this time enables us to do both of those things and we are delighted to have them on board for the journey.”
PTI’s digital transformation pyramid – which unifies its three core pillars of Venue Technology, Data & Digital and Commercial Strategy – lays the foundation for the holistic digital transformation of sports and entertainment organisations and venues. It is this integrated, efficient approach which begins with strategic intent and is informed by insight and powered by the right technology infrastructure which creates significant commercial advantage over the long-term.
