PTI’s APAC base in Melbourne adds second senior hire of 2021 to continue rapid expansion.
Shaun Lumsden joins APAC General Manager Corey Kirby in Melbourne, heading up the data-driven offering that PTI’s Data & Digital team brings to clients in the region, as well as supporting UK and Europe operations.
Lumsden recently returned to Melbourne from London, where he was Senior Technology and Business Analyst at the world-famous Marylebone Cricket Club. Prior to that, Lumsden spent eight years at the AFL working across a broad range of roles including Commercial, Membership, Data and Analytics.
At MCC, his focus was on improving the digital experience for customers across the Club’s offerings, from match days to MCC events, pushing more services online to grow revenue and improve efficiency and growing addressable audience.
On his appointment, Lumsden said: “My experience in the UK and the focus on using digital and data to improve services demonstrated to me a gap in the offerings available in the APAC market. I’m excited to join the PTI team, who live and breathe the practical steps that make data and digital a significant and impactful business factor, empowering organisations to innovate in the process.
“Every organisation wants to be industry-leading in terms of data literacy and digital innovation. Having the consolidated set of technological tools to be able to support these outcomes is often not readily available in-house – PTI can diagnose and support these digital outcomes, in turn supporting business goals.”
In his new role at PTI, Lumsden will work closely with APAC General Manager Corey Kirby, Chief Data & Digital Officer Daniel Brown and Chief Commercial Officer Ben Wells and their teams.
PTI Digital’s Chief Operating Officer and APAC General Manager Corey Kirby said: “We’re very pleased to welcome Shaun on board at PTI Digital. I know he will add significant value to the exciting team we are growing. His expertise will be integral in supporting our client work to support digital-led business transformation with valuable customer data insight both here and in the EMEA market.”
Lumsden added: “Our clients’ fans and customers are the lifeblood of their organisations and I look forward to helping put them at the heart of business decision-making, using a data-centric and digitally-led approach.”
