PTI has welcomed Ryan Benson on board in Australia as the Head of Venue Tech (APAC).
Ryan brings over 15 years’ experience in the Venue Tech space, with many spent in the sports and entertainment industry.
Ryan’s experience includes a number of major stadium infrastructure projects around the globe and responsibility for the technology delivery at Tier-1 events such as the Asian Cup and US Open Tennis. Other clients include Sydney Cricket Ground, Basketball Australia, Netball Australia and Invictus Games Sydney 2018.
Ryan said: “PTI has a well-defined offering that has been proven internationally and now has a fantastic opportunity in APAC to further leverage their successes. With the focus on ANZ initially, it was the perfect position for me to utilise my experience within PTI’s Venue Tech framework.
“In 2021 the sports and entertainment industry ramp-up will present some exciting opportunities from a technology perspective, with a strong focus on the delivery of safer events and a digital-first fan experience both at events and throughout the year.”

Ryan, who will be based out of Sydney, joins the APAC team and will lead the Venue Tech pillar in the region, responsible for overseeing further recruitment and building out the team to strengthen PTI’s position in the market.
